Venkatesh Iyer had a disastrous IPL 2022 as he couldn’t score much and was under bowled by the KKR management as well. Despite having a bad IPL season, selectors showed faith in him and selected him for the home series against South Africa. He did not get a single match in the T20 series though.
Venkatesh Iyer had a very good 2021 IPL season where he opened for Kolkata Knight Riders which gave him a place in the Indian cricket team as well. He was doing consistently well in the domestic circuit as well.
WHATS THE ROAD AHEAD FOR VENKATESH IYER?
Now with Hardik Pandya back in the side, he will have to show his talent and will have to be consistent to cement his place in the Indian team as a full-time opener.
