It's been a fascinating journey. I knew the responsibility wouldn't be easy from the start, but looking back on the year and everything we had to overcome, I couldn't have predicted it all.
We've been able to make good progress as a team, and as a captain within the squad, I've made a strong effort to focus as much on the cricket as possible, rather than being overwhelmed by all the off-field issues.

There were good occasions during the tough periods, such as when we came together as a team and assessed where we were and where we wanted to go.
There was a lot of anticipation about what we could do as a group.
Some of the men I've known since we were 15 years old, so being in a position where we had the obligation, and the privilege, of leading the team forward and putting it on the map, was a thrilling experience.
It has aided us in coming together as a team and truly going out there to play for one another.

There are some tasks to be completed, but I am optimistic that we will succeed. When I reflect on our previous World Cup performance, I believe we exceeded everyone's expectations - except our own.
We were well aware of the goals and expectations that we had set for ourselves. We can achieve anything if we improve on our previous performance. practice, though, there is still work to be done.

Our bowling assault, in my opinion, is one of the greatest in the country. We may need to add a little more batting depth to compete with the top.
